We sometimes hear on the news, reports about a brazen attack of some kind by a criminal during the daytime. We are told this happened “during broad daylight” and as such it is rather unusual, as most of these occurrences happened under cover of darkness. Those who perpetrate these crimes normally try and avoid being identified.
Even though we live in a dangerous environment, this should not cause us to be prisoners of our own home. We need to use common sense and adhere to certain ideals, but still hold our head up high when we go out. No one has a right to tell us what to do, yet we should be prepared to exercise attack avoidance if we need to at any time.
We have had a particularly tough recession for the last year or so and no one could be blamed for wanting to get away from the strains and stresses that we have been through. Sure, our everyday life may well be very sophisticated, with great standards of living and methods of communication, but we have certainly been through some highs and lows and some people would add that we have created many of these difficulties ourselves.
